POKEMON GEN I TIER LIST (NOV 2021)

I made a tier list of every Pokémon in the first generation back in November 2021, organized by how useful I thought they were at the time. This doesn't mean that I hate the less useful ones, though. It just means that they're not exactly the best for battle as far as I'm concerned, though I still think that some of them (like Zubat) look really cool.

I took it down from the Internet a while ago for some reason, but I forgot to put this back on the Internet along with my other stuff. Well, that changes today.

The Pokémon already in the list are still relatively accurate four and a half years later, but I have used quite a bit of the ones in the "??? - Never really used much before November 2020" (should say "2021") area since then.

Here's a list of each category for those who have trouble reading the labels:

S - Awesome: Super useful for most of the game, definitely helped beat it.

A - Pretty good: Pretty useful in and of themselves, but there are better Pokémon out there.

B - Decent: Pretty useful in specific situations, but I wouldn't keep them in my active party unless I had to.

C - Just OK: Kind of useful sometimes, but generally only for the early-game, or in very specific instances.

D - Kind of bad: Might be okay, but generally not worth using unless I'm doing a Nuzlocke challenge and don't have a choice.

E - Pretty bad: Technically has a few damaging moves, but other than that, it's basically worthless.

F - Terrible: No damaging moves are learned naturally soon enough to be of any use, and/or the stats are absolutely terrible, therefore rendering these Pokémon absolutely worthless until they evolve.

??? - Never really used much before November 2020[sic]: Most of the Pokémon I've caught in the later parts of Pokémon Red just went to my PC because I already assembled a pretty good team at that point. I never really wanted to test them out until after I beat the game.
