BUZZY BEETLE SHADING TEST

This is my first and only attempt at drawing a character with realistic shading. The colors look great, but the actual shading and the way they blend together (or don't) looks pretty bad. I've already decided I'm just going to stick to basic cartoon shading for all of my drawings in the future, if they even have shading at all.

BRANDON'S LIFE #2 - ALL EARS

Previous | Next The second issue in Brandon's Life, introducing a fictionalized version of my older brother, Chase. Granted, this isn't what he looks like at all; I just had to draw him as a pile of ears to make the joke work. Honestly, I don't know what I was thinking with this one. On a side note, the top of the door in the first panel (above the speech bubble) isn't colored in. I literally didn't notice that until just now, but I can't really change it because it would take more work than I'm willing to put in, mainly because of the way the .jpg file extension messes up .png images.
