I'M BACK INTO MINECRAFT. SORT OF. (May 9, 2020)

Twentieth post from the original blog.

"About a week ago, I found my iPad buried under a pile of notebooks, so I decided to charge it up and play some Minecraft on there. I had bought it when it first came out, when I was nine or ten, because my mom had heard that a lot of kids my age were playing Minecraft. I got into it pretty quickly, and I especially liked the creative mode, which was way easier than survival mode. I played Minecraft a lot on my iPad, and some other games too. A few months ago, I guess I lost interest in the iPad, or maybe I just plain lost the iPad, but I found it a week ago and started playing Minecraft again.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition - I've been trying to step up from the "peaceful" difficulty settings that I'm used to and try my hand at "easy" mode, but I'm too worried about monsters killing me. On one game, I was trying to find a place to build my shelter when I got cornered by two drowned zombies. One of them had a trident, and I didn't have any armor or a sword, so I died pretty quickly. Another time, a witch appeared as soon as I spawned in another game and almost killed me by poisoning me. I think the main difficulty at first is just trying to gather enough material to build a shelter quickly. I always try and find sheep so I can make a bed, because I don't want to have to worry about nighttime monsters, let alone phantoms. I still think I'm not very good at survival mode.

Super Mario Bros. 3 - I played through the first two levels of Grass Land with little difficulty, but on the third level, when I got into the Coin Heaven, I tried getting the secret 1-Up Mushroom in there because I had a Super Leaf. Well, I hit the block containing the 1-Up Mushroom, but it went left while the screen was scrolling right, and went out of bounds. I just turned the game off and played the original Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. - I managed to get to World 2-3 without incident, and I racked up eight total extra lives in the process. Then I lost about five of them by repeatedly falling off the level. I beat World 2-4 while only dying once, and World 3-1 without dying at all, but I got a Game Over by bouncing off a Goomba into a pit. Twice.

Tomodachi Life - Mom and Sean (in the game) got married and took a honeymoon to France. Too Cute also tried to ask Sam out, but she didn't even show up. Too Cute decided to get serious and try to woo Sam with a gift, but it didn't work. He was finally ready to let go after that, though, and I didn't have to try cheering him up.

When I was about fourteen or fifteen, I took a Minecraft modding class and got Minecraft on the computer. I made a pretty cool mod, but the game got taken off of the computer for some reason, so I can't do any modding. It's just as well, because I forgot how to mod on Minecraft.

[I should note that it wasn't an actual mod, rather it was just a texture pack.]

I also finished the first season of Good Mythical Morning."
