HOME ALONE IN QUARANTINE, DAY TWO (April 18, 2020)
Ninth post from the original blog.
"Again, just another boring day, home alone. I played more video games, as usual. I really need to get a life sooner or later.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - I completed all of the Trouble Center items so far, and I got the Ultra Hammer. I also worked on some recipes for Zess T. I think I'm up to about 33 or something. I tried making a Meteor Meal using a Shooting Star and a Super Shroom, but what I had forgotten was to cook the Super Shroom into a Shroom Fry. That resulted in a Mistake, but it technically counted towards the recipe list, so... yay? I did start Chapter 7, and I got the Shooting Star from Northwinds Mart in Fahr Outpost (that was the Shooting Star I got to try and make the Meteor Meal), but I think I'm going to have to go back to the mart to get another Shooting Star so I can make a Meteor Meal for real.
Super Mario Bros. - I figured out what my real problem was with repeatedly dying on World 1-4. I was just going too fast. I slowed down, and I didn't die once until World 2-3, when I went too slow and ran into a Cheep Cheep. I managed to get to World 5-2 before I got a Game Over, and I died to having a Koopa Paratroopa land on me because I misjudged where I should stand so he could jump over me.
Super Mario Galaxy - I still had my first file from when I was ten, almost eleven, saved on the disc. I started a new file (without deleting the old one, for nostalgia reasons) and tried going to the Star Festival. But then Bowser showed up and ruined everything, as always. He took Princess Peach to the center of the universe, and I got knocked off of the castle (that was hanging practically in the exosphere, which is higher than the stratosphere) by Kamek into the Gateway Galaxy as a result. I managed to find the three Star Bunnies (or Lumas) who were hiding (because we were apparently playing hide-and-seek), and then Rosalina appeared and gave me her special Luma to take care of. I got the spin ability, and with that I went through the Gateway Galaxy and saved the Grand Star being held hostage. After that, the Grand Star took me to Rosalina's Comet Observatory, and it flew into the beacon, to which Polari (the dark brown Luma next to Rosalina on the Comet Observatory) said that at least the Lumas will survive now. Rosalina and Polari then explained (mostly Rosalina explained, I guess) what happened to them and how Bowser took all of their Power Stars, and she mentioned how they can get them back by using the power of the Grand Star. After her talk, I went into the Terrace and retrieved the first Power Star from Good Egg Galaxy. I had to fight Dino Piranha, but he was easy to beat, being the first boss and all. After I got back to the Comet Observatory, Polari explained how Star Bits work, and I fed him some. Then I paused the game and started blogging.
I also watched about five episodes of Good Mythical Morning. Fun fact of trivia: Link's favorite video game is Super Mario Bros., which I played today. Anyway, have a good day."
